2017 BSP CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE
With Christmas just around the corner today BSP launched the 2017 BSP Giving Tree. The BSP Giving Tree is a partnership between BSP and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This year the initiative is being expanded covering children in need in Rarotonga, the Southern Group and, for the first time, the Northern Group Islands. Its expected over 700 presents will be delivered to children up to the age of 15 years.
BSP Business Manager Tutu Inamata launched the 2017 BSP Giving Tree saying 'BSP is proud to continue what will be the 10th Year of the giving tree tradition we are also excited to extend the program by including the Northern Group Islands for the first time. It's great to provide gifts to kids and families in need and make sure they have a Merry Christmas'.
'The Giving Tree is a joint effort between BSP and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We would like to thank and acknowledge our supporters: Air Rarotonga, Vonnias, CITC, Taio Shipping and Avarua Bakery. Loyal supporters, Air Rarotonga, and for the first time, Taio Shipping are assisting with the transportation to the outer Islands. CITC and Vonnias are generously offering a 20% discount on gifts provided you present your BSP Giving Tree tag on purchase.'
We have 736 gifts that need to be purchased for children up to the age of 15years, in Rarotonga and throughout eleven outer islands including Aitutaki, Atiu, Mangaia, Mauke, Mitiaro, Pukapuka, Palmerston, Manihiki, Penhryn, Nassau and Rakahanga. So please come in and visit BSP and get your Christmas tag. Wrapped gifts are to be returned to BSP by 1st December.
BSP and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are very thankful for the communities continued support and generosity each year and once again looking forward to a very successful 2017 BSP Giving Tree. #PutAsmileOnAchild
