Parents Opt to Empower Children this Christmas

Date: Friday 8 December 2017

Generous Fijians across the country are opting for a gift that empowers a child's future this festive season by launching their journey to financial freedom.

BSP Acting Country Manager Mr Ravindra Singh welcomed the interest shown by parents, guardians and goodwill champions who have taken time out to visit BSP branches to purchase BSP MoneyZONE gift vouchers for children.

"We are delighted to receive so many members of the public at branches purchasing these vouchers as a gift this Christmas," said Mr Singh.

"We note that during the festive season, parents are increasingly getting caught up in the Christmas spirit, at least when it comes to their kids, we are able to offer a gift idea that will not break their budget and have a long lasting benefit."

In Rakiraki, 43 year old Ms. Sisilia McGoon purchased MoneyZONE vouchers to set up her 13 year old daughters account before she enters high school in the New Year. "I'm really pleased that we have done this for our daughter.  It's new and never done before by any Bank. We are grateful to BSP," said Mrs McGoon.

BSP MoneyZONE vouchers are available at all 17 BSP branches nationwide from in $10 denominations.  While it can be offered to children as a gift this Christmas, it can win them a Back to School reward in the New Year.

"For those that redeem their Christmas MoneyZONE gift vouchers before Friday 5 January, they put the children or account holders into a draw to win one of 6 x $250 Back to School gift hampers," confirmed Mr Singh.  "This will assist with their Back to School needs."
