In yet another stride towards helping Fiji grow, BSP has introduced an EasyGo Account following an endorsement from the Government of Fiji.
"BSP EasyGo is a versatile product that is specially designed for individuals who demand a strict control of their banking and want greater transparency with fees at the time of banking. We are happy to empower our BSP rural customers with this account," said BSP's GM Microfinance, Government and Community Relations, Mr Howard Politini.
The BSP EasyGo account offers customers the full suite of BSP personal banking services which include the use of BSP EFTPoS, ATMs, SMS Banking and Internet Banking.
"Customers can open an EasyGo account at Zero Deposit and enjoy 24hour access to their bank account with a fee charged only when they use the services," explained Mr Politini.
BSP EasyGo customers are also exempt from monthly service fees and will not be levied for leaving their account idle for long periods of time unlike any existing BSP account type.
"With our electronic banking services, namely SMS Banking and Internet Banking services, rural customers can now use either their mobiles or computers to conduct their own banking transactions of balance enquiry, funds transfer, mobile top up anytime or from any location with connectivity," assured Mr Politini.
"We are delighted to lift the standard of banking services with 24-7 banking for rural Fiji. With our current agency partnership with Post Fiji, the postal network will soon be able to accept deposits and facilitate withdrawals as though a customer were inside a branch," said Mr Politini.
BSP Passbook customers can visit any BSP branch to swap out their Passbook accounts or they can visit the BSP Booth at the microfinance village in Albert Park to find out more about this exciting new product.
To open a BSP EasyGo account, customers must bring in a valid photo ID, a TIN letter from FIRCA, a passport photo and a birth certificate. All other BSP account types would require a $10 opening deposit.
