Today BSP's Samabula Branch was broken into by a group of masked men wielding cane knives and other crude weapons.
"Although there was some damage to the premises we are relieved that no one was physically injured in the attack. The safety of our valued customers and staff are of paramount importance to us," said a concerned BSP Country Manager, Mr Kevin McCarthy.
BSP announced the closure of their Samabula Branch to allow for police and internal investigations to proceed unhindered.
Customers have been requested to visit any of the other branches or use our extensive electronic banking services during this time.
"We acknowledge the speedy response by police to locate the getaway vehicle and we pledge support for their efforts to identify the perpetrators," said Mr McCarthy.
BSP's Samabula Branch employs 20 staff members who had been serving customers at the time of the robbery.
