Staff and students of St Theresa Primary School will today celebrate their new look school in a handing over ceremony at the school.
The school was cleaned and repainted by the Ba BSP branch, formerly Colonial, staff as part of their community project.
BSP's General Manager-Corporate & Community Services, Howard Politini said "the initiative reflects BSP's commitment to support the communities in Fiji. BSP desires to play an significant role and make a difference in the lives of people through the $20,000 allocated for community projects to each BSP bank branch around the country."
The bank's Ba Branch Manager, Mr Salim Buksh said "we are really happy that students, staff and their parents don't have to spend time raising funds for this project. It is indeed a privilege to be able to contribute in this way to this school and the community. The project was a huge success which was contributed to by our colleagues in BSP, both here and from our regional and Suva offices."
In responding to BSP's contribution to the school, the Head Teacher, Mr Mosese Tabeyaweni said, "The new look of the school has really lifted the image of the building and also has boosted the morale of the staff and students. We are truly thankful for the great contribution BSP has given to St Theresa."
